Embers of Caerus

Game is a LONG way off, but looks like it could be the next evolution of Darkfall. Hell, who knows, it could be out before Df2.0 for all we know ;)

Already throwing their way all I can afford right now along with having a blue name on the forums. But yes, very ambitious project that deserves all the attention and support it can possibly get...

I imagine an organized guild of mixed pvp-ers and supporters, like TFK, could excel in a game with this kind of death system Remember to check out the dev clarifications in the forum thread after watching the vid. Medics ftw! :D

I like 5:50. You could literally be hours away from your body when you respawn.

This is really important for sandbox PvP games in my opinion, as it stops zergs from teleporting around dominating the whole map and turning every battle into a server v server lagfest.

Well... I'd be positively surprised if it launches in 2016 (or if it launches even at all, with all the features they say it'll have). While I fully agree with their vision and believe they are dedicated, we just don't know if they have what it takes to execute it yet. :/

(Doesn't stop me from supporting them, though! :D)

Funding is what they need, funding is what they don't have, so far a pipe dream, albeit a good one :)

It would be interesting to know how much of the "we already have interested investors lined up, all we need is a working prototype to show them" is true. If it is true, then they might actually make that deadline...

And the problem comes when the investors start saying

"Oh you can't expect people to walk accross the world! Add teleporters."

or

"Eeek you can't punish people for dieing"

this sounds too good to be true... would be cool but i put no faith in this, its to hardcore for the mong population, not enough noobfactor to ever become reality.
